Half of my Holiday (part 2)

Alright gona blog about Spikes Asia today

Spikes Asia was inspiring and an eye opener for me.
It was a great experience for me.
Honestly the first day of Spikes, I dun quite understand what some of the speakers were talking about.
I guess its because Im not really exposed to this kind of things yet.
However, I did learn a few stuff like in source and out source of talents.
The first day was mostly about advertising how to get the consumers attention and how various brand companies and agencies work.
The day ended well with a stand up comedy at the end.
Indeed it was hilarious by Papa CJXD
Day 2 was more interesting as I can somehow relate to the seminar more.
The second day was more on the topic of how companies get creative and tips to creativity.
One tip was storytelling, making your advertisement storyline base to attract viewers.
Easier for viewers to relate to.
'Audience don't fall in love with plots but with characters.'
I agree as I m an audience myself and I do have favourite characters.
Like Hawkeye frm Avengers, Hermione Granger from Harry Potter, etc.
Another saying presented by one of the speakers, which I agree totally with was
'There is no courage without fear'
In life, there is always fear but it depends how you overcome it, tat is wat they call courage.
Applying to advertising, one have to try breaking the comfort zone n do something crazy instead.
Various advertisments were showcased and some really did inspire me.

Day 3 was superb. Got to attend the Spikes Asia Awards Ceremony!!
The funny thing was we jus went there with our 'smart casual'.
when we saw all the other big shots, dress in suits and gown.
We were like "....ok..." haha.
The awards ceremony was one of my fav part of this Event.
Saw many great works tat inspired me, the moment i reached home, i went to rewatch the ads. xD
I find it interesting when people from around the world gathered here and have talks, sitting at seminars.
The funny thing is that every speaker is frm a diff country and thus, various accent can be heard.
haha Interesting to watch n hear though.
Well, the event was kinda for all the big shots companies
I dun see much students there so we were kinda the 'attraction' there.
HAHA. I mean where ever we walked, people kinda stared at us.
Maybe Im too cute. HAHAHAHA
guess I should wear a shirt saying "I know I'm cute. Stop looking"
Overall, it was an amazing experience n I thank TSA for letting me have this opportunity to attend Spikes Asia 2012. ^^

Half of my Holiday (part 1)

Back to blog.
and Yes, Im lazy to do this, but I still wana do it.
well, its like half of my holiday now.
So gona talk about how I spent it 'wisely'. lol~
well this gona be my last holiday for this sch year, as ITP is waiting the nxt holiday.
So gona spent it nicely and cherish the holiday.
well, the first week of my holiday was to rest and I really mean,
REST! yes it consist of sleeping, slacking, livin the live of a pig...
no. dog would be a nicer word
of course I've been doin my art stuff and building my portfolio.
My portfolio will be open to public as soon
oh yea and spent quite sometime with my dad.
went to his shop and took some photos of his items, planning to rebrand and build up his website.
hope I will be successful in carrying out his website (fingers crossed)
yea, then went out to cycle with a cpl of friends at east coast.
you might think that its jus a normal cycle but this was no NORMAL.
We reached there and walked to have our lunch and when we were about to rent our bikes,
we saw dark clouds and knew wat was coming,
but who cares, we are determine to CYCLE tat day and jus rented our bikes
then a 'hurricane' came by, huge gust of wind blew as we cycle our way down the park
it was EXCITING I would say.
Then it started to drizzle so we decided to stop by a pavilion and enjoy the breeze.
Yep and I am no kidding, the wind was tat strong tat almost blew us off our seats.
Sat for awhile to enjoy this part of life, nature and....wind. xDD
then we decided to continue despite the weather.
yea it was shiok until when we cycled to one end of the park, the rain got heavier,
we decided to turn back and return our bikes.
when we got back, we were DRENCHED, like we jus went into the ocean to find lil mermaid
and got back up xD
so time to leave the park...but how?
you might think bus back to the mrt will be a great idea.
but no...bus only comes on weekends. yes WEEKENDS! >.<
so we decided to hire a cap. another great idea.
but no...no caps/taxi... cauz it was a highway no taxi gona stop either.
but lucky, as we were figuring a way out, we met a cap and cap down to the mrt.
Its my first time experience cycling in the rain
an memorable experience indeed.
This is one interesting thing I did during my holiday,

lol anyway its 12 midnight now and I'm bloggin
Idk maybe felt lik I should blog or smthin.
hvnt been sleeping early since she left...
anyway, wanted to blog last week but life was CRAZY, HECTIC as hell.
well had 2 major submissions this week and was rushing last week
3 more nxt week and jus hope things goes well too!
Well, last week wanted to print my work in sch but the printer aint helping me
so had to rush down to sunshine plaza after sch to get my stuff printed
went there the uncle was busy doing his other client stuff, so I waited.
Yea I waited waited 1 hr passed but he say come back 2mr morning
I was like NO, I need to print today~!
I then gave up and decided to change print shop, rushed down the street,
hoping the other print shop is still open.
Was a relief when I went to the other print shop, no customers were there so they only served me =)
Then this china guy who was serving me DAMN NICE!!!
Not only he was damn patient, he gave me discount also xDDD
Well, while i was printing an angmoh cpl came in and print on the other printer.
He had to serve 2 customers at a time now...
I guess he was new and wasnt familar with the other printer and asked the singaporean lady(i guess the person in charge) for some help.
Then the lady scolded him "Thought I teach you alrdy?!"
I mean, HALO? WATS WRONG WITH FORGETTING MAN?! ASK YOUR HELP WILL KILL YOU IS IT?! better than printing it wrongly and wasting ink and paper yea?
and from the moment i step into the shop, she was busy doing duno wat at the counter!
Cant you help this customer print and cant u see he was serving me also?
After that he kinda know what to do and start to print the angmoh's stuff
then here comes a grp of indian students
So he had to serve me, angmoh and the grp of students
The lady? Idk wat the hell she was doin, jus minding my own business watching the scenes review.
he was supa calm and chill despite everthing that happened
he even checked my paper and make sure everything is clean and when there is black spot, he reprinted it for me =)
Then I told him I had to print a page tat was double side,
he kinda face palmed but still makes sure my image will be aligned properly back and forth
Yea I was the first to print and the last to leave the print shop cauz I got alot of stuff to print,
was the last customer of the day.
He even round down the price for me :D
Really glad to get my stuff printed nicely with his help and patience.
Guess my unlucky day turned out fine =D
Then had to photoshoot the next day for my packaging,
Amila and Sheryl came over to shoot, turned a corner of my study room into a studio
cool and fun experience =)
Got our stuff shot and printed the next day for submission~
Yea more to come the following weeks.

1st week of Aug

Bloggin on the 1st week of Aug~
Haven't been bloggin since...
Yea life still have to move on,
Well, lately schlin as usual, however, I also went out abit =)
One week ago, went out with sec sch buds to eat and chat
was a great friday to catch up with friends and stuff.
Then on sat went out for dinner with Alisa, yea of course gotta catch up on stuff too!
Oh yea and yest went to get papers frm Antalis.
Had to postpone class cauz the schedule with Antalis wasn't tat negotiable.
Felt pretty sry for my lecturer cauz I feel lik we neglecting his class...
Well. reached there and realised they went for lunch will be bck only 45 mins later
so a few of us went to grab lunch instead.
Didnt know the place there well so decided to take a random bus down and stop whenever we see an eatery.
Was fun cauz its been a while since something interesting happen.
There was limited food eatery there so had no choice but to eat Ba Ku Teh,
was exceptable la =)
Then realise there was no way back!!! Only a one way road -_-
ok so we didnt knew tat...
Had to walk back then...like 3 bus stops?
Then it started drizzlin...and then RAINING =X
Yea things got pretty worst, but I kinda enjoyed it.
I mean where can u get to have a chance lik tat? boarding a random bus frm no where, then walk back in the rain with ur friends? xD
Was a pretty interesting day. Yea and we got our papers of cauz! BIG ROLLS OF A1...
now worryin about my packaging,
I bet everyone is... cauz its our first time doing it...
hopes everything goes fine xD

Hi, Im back to post...
had been a long time since I posted.
probably due to incidents, laziness and being to busy to blog.
Now I'm back hehehe...
well, hv been doin cool in sch so far
had an incident abt...a month ago? yea accidentally cut my finger while doing work
sotong me...haha
well, i can laugh now but it wasn't a laughing matter
finger bleeded alot and had to rush to the nearest polyclinic,
had to thank my friends and lecturers for helpin me that day.
other than that, sch was usual...
projects, fun, projects,projects, slack, fun (u know wat i mean)
so now in the midst of my 3 week holiday.
have alot of sch work and projects to be submitted after the holidays =S
a week has past and I dun feel accomplished,
probably work hasn't really been done...hais
shall really focus and do my work soon...
so lately i went out with my poly friends, had dinner and stuff
didnt manage to watch the movie i wanted cauz there wasn't a suitable timing.
so ate and slacked on the rooftop at vivo~
Oh lately I've watchin Jap and Kor dramas
finish watchin love rain, quite good though xD
then now watchin Yankee-Kun to Megane Chan & Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou =)

so this week, going out probably with my sec and pri sch buddies.
got alot of stuff to catch up on.
so shall probably blog again soon...

Yup! shall keep this a short post...

its great bck in sch seeing my classmates again,
and it also means i would be seeing my assignments again!

alot of briefs were launched, however, im still at point zero =(
probably still rusty, engine hard to start...
and feeling confused n kinda lost at the same time
this lead me to be kinda worried abt reaching the datelines.
I NEED TO WAKE UP!! RAWR!!!
Anyway, this yr alot of new stuff would be introduced,
so I feel like a noob, not really confident in doing it well
but who knows?
maybe it might turn out fine...
shall try to absorb alot of stuff and at the same time manage my time for the projects

Another busy week ahead~

alright, alright, enough with all the crappy posts I've made last week
Hvin alot of things goin on,

i mean JEC was my childhood hang out place
after waiting for 5 yrs, many things have changed and look how old am I now..
those memories, spendin my weekend there most of the time...
went to see, its pretty awesome, the biggest skatin ring...
and some cool shops, many restaurants to endulge myself into =)
yup~ my hangout place is BACK! hehe~
probably goin there to chill sometimes x)
& I finally watched Hunger Games!! like FINALLY~ hehe
its AWESOME!!
quite cool and fascinating but the fact between the 1st class country and the 3rd class, pretty cruel though...

Am I considered lucky?

Well, so many stuff to blog...
really regretted not to blog last week cauz got LOTS of stuff to blog rn.
Its proabbly gona be a LONG post ahead, so gona warn first.
Alright, last week didnt blog cauz was busy rushing with school assignments.
Now its the holidays! So I'm free to blog and blah nonsense to entertain u =)
Last week was feelin sian so decided to check my email since a long time...
was expecting junk mails lik some random notification or wat, until I saw this:
REDEMPTION OF SS4 TICKET by F&N
At first I thought it must be an advertisement until I clicked it,
GYEAA~ I just won a pair of SS4 tickets through F&N
and the concert is just two days away!
I wanted to go to ss4 badly but mum didnt allowed me to spent money to get the tickets,
so decided to try the F&N contest of buying their drinks and sent in the receipt.
I was freakin lucky to win the tickets cauz I only sent in one receipt which I didnt expect would win.
So asked my sec schmate along but she couldnt attend so asked my poly friend, vic to join me.
On the concert day, we had the balcony seats IT WAS FREAKIN AWESOME!
cauz there were not many hardcore fans there and security there was LOW!
so we manage to snap as many photos of the concert for memory sake.
oh come to think of it, my memory card no more space for photos liao HAHA~

As they say 'you gain one, you lose one' (I forgot is it the other way round?)
Anyway, right after I receive the good news, I receive bad news from the vet about my doggie
she is having medical problems now
and I am trying my best to spend more time and taking care of her
so have to cut down my time outside this holiday.
Alright, lets talk about this week!
This week, spend my time mostly at Scape TSA's London Calling Exhibition
Mon, I got to go to the zoo with my classmates.
It was damn awesome, despite the downpour which cauz my shoes to be soakin wet and had to walk around the zoo and havin dancing lessons after tat.
it was pretty fun watching the animals and shows
After the zoo trip, went of to kpop dance class~
the dance routine I signed up for was kinda tough but it was enjoyable =)
The following Tues to Thurs, I spent most of my time as the Scape Exhibition!
Although, no many people come to look at the exhibits,
I manage to know 2 new people there, talked and laughed
so it was FUN too! haha xD
Then, yesterday, went out with Kallang with daphne and sheryl
went bowling for the 2nd time and then ice skating for the 1st time
bowling for me was very rusty, almost didnt hit any pins most of the rounds hais...
yea ice skating was ok...abit sian though cauz 2hrs quite tiring for my legs xD
then went to town for a walk and then drop by Scape to prank some friends
but abit failed la... haha
then after tat we went down to Ion to look at the Noise Exhibition
the works there damn nice, kinda inspired me, I gota gear up too!
So tats probably all for this week.

In the mist of class...

Had a long break over the weekends due to CNY.
ate steamboat for two days!!

Funky Week =)

Well, here to blog on my 2nd week of 2012
This week had alot of fun and laughter ^-^
Shall start off with some embarrassing moments of 2012
so as usual, there would be lunch breaks during lesson
so went out for lunch with a grp of us and was on the way back to class
4 of us took the lift while the other 2 decided to take the stairs as the lift was packed
obviously, we reached the 4th level first
so being mischievious, i decide to hide behind the wall and try to scare them
but little did i know, there was the girls toilet before my wall
heard voices drawing nearer and nearer and finally made my move
and I was shock to see a unkown guy instead of my friend
so I had scared the wrong person.
apparently my friends took a turn and walked into the toilet
Freakin paiseh can.
ok, 2nd embarrassing thing was,
when I was goin leaving sch,
was going down to take the bus home, the corner of my eye spot my bus.
so I ran la and stood in front of the bus door,
but uncle didnt see me. so i missed the bus
of course ppl at the bus stop stared la,
coincidently, I met my sec sch classmate and we chatted awhile,
well, it turn up wasnt tat embarrassing.
In the end instead of scaring tat friend, I scared myself and tat innocent guy la.
but we all burst out laughin xDDD
then we played 'invisible chairs' aka 'sitting' invented by Isabelle.
well, all we have to do is pretend there is a chair on side of the wall and jus sit normally
of course, we did that out of boredom, just wana see the reaction of passer-bys hehe~
then our coursemates saw and decided to join in formin a looonnnggg bench =)

so yest was walkin my doggie as usual
then an old man in front of me jus farted freakin loud
(think it echoed throughout the whole park...)
was probably the loudest fart i ever hear.
it was damn loud la, then i think the bangalah sitting at the bench got a shocked and turned to look
I was lik havin a poker face, holdin my laughter till I went home xDD
So this week was quite FUNKY i would say,

Shall blog about my first week of 2012...
obviously, the 1st week of jan is always spent in sch(except last year's),
Well, the new year? I dun really feel that yet...just the changed in dates though
Sch is as normal though open house for polys are ongoing,
haha me and my friends often go down to look wats going on at the open house,
yea, knowing wats free, wat they sellin, wat ppl are doin'
It seems like we are freakin free but not really though xD
jus came out of class during breaks to smell wats new in the house hehe x)
So some of my classmates manage to redeemed their free goodie bags...
but na, I didnt get any free stuff from the event =)
Its not I really dun wan but its tat I cant get them =S
cauz I dun have my sec sch card anymore

Oh ya! One incident occur to me this week.
Shall share the joke of being a blurqiyin.
So on thurs, sch was suppose to start at 10am.
However, being me, I thought lesson start at 9am.
I reached sch at 8:40 and went over to the next studio to slack as there is a class ongoing at the studio i was suppose to be.
at abt 8:50, non of my classmates were here. (usually we all gather there before class start)
so I start to think, maybe class cancelled or postponed cauz there was a change of class on wed.
then at 9am, I then realised, class actually start at 10!!!
Nowander no one was here!!!
So I took out my lappie and watch some variety show
and my classmate came strollin in lookin at me laughin to my computer screen -.-
so thats probably jus all this week,
wander wats up ahead for me.
